Visit to a Classical Typography Lab #3
Nikos Vozikis, one of the few typographers who still work applying the classical techniques of typography and engraving, welcomes the audience of “Athens 2018 – World Book Capital” every first Saturday of the month (December 2018 – April 2019), in his workshop.
It’s a work space, packed with printing presses, wooden frames made to handheld texturing, flatbed printing presses from Heidelberg of the past century, with wooden typographical data, with all the technical material which is needed for the completion of a publication and at the same time, with collectible publications accompanied by engravings by the most important modern artists (Tsoklis, Botsoglou, Psychopedis, Arfaras and others).
