Travelling in the New Era: From the theatre programmes’ collection of the 20th Century to the Michael Cacoyannis Archives
The Michael Cacoyannis Foundation possesses a significant archive of 20th-century Theatre Programs, which includes more than 610 original theatrical programs that have been published between 1949 and 1999. This record comes from the co-founder of the Art Theater – Karolos Koun and later theatrical businessman Giorgos Yolassis, one of the most remarkable theatrical artists of the 20st century, and his wife, Eleni. The collection includes rare versions of programs of the free theater, Greek state scenes and also foreign theater programs in Greece, as well as Greek theater companies abroad.
