The Bahar Project: 3rd Recipe
This March, the Bahar team, with strong flavors in its luggage, invites people of all ages and nationalities to continue a journey of discovery and knowledge through cooking and tasting. Third stop: The Philippines and Georgia! The idea behind the Bahar Project is that the power of cooking – both as a process and as a tasting experience – unites people regardless of their nationality.
The event is supported by Athens Book Capital 2018 City of Athens, of which major donor is Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
Cooks both from Greece and from migrant communities will share dishes from their own traditions, and participants of many nationalities will have the chance to write down recipes in their own language – the ingredients, the preparation and cooking process, even the food styling! Then, a feast will take place, with music and dancing, where everyone will share food and personal stories about loved recipes and flavours.
Ogranizer: Athens Coordination Centre for Migrant and Refugee issues (ACCMR), ActionAid Hellas, Melissa Network of Migrant Women in Greece, Almasar, Kypseli Municipal Market, under the auspices of Migrants Integration Council, supported by AWBC
