Athens Free: 14 Stories of Resistance

The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the resistance of the inhabitants of Athens against German occupation through 14 personal stories.

Organizer: “12 October 1944. Athens Free” (co-organized by the Hellenic Parliament Foundation for Parliamentarism and Democracy, Attica Region-Central Section, Municipality of Athens, General State Archives, ERT), with the support of “Athens 2018 World Book Capital” City of Athens.

Opening event: October 5th 2018.  The President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikolaos Voutsis, will inaugurate the exhibition.

Special open tour on the inauguration day at 22:00.

The exhibition stays open until 24:00, participating at the Culture Night organized by Athens Culture Net, within the framework of “Athens 2018-World Book Capital” of the City of Athens.
